DEN has a double-lounger couch with ottoman, gooseneck lamp for reading, library, stereo system with CD & radio and a small desk/make-up area and chair, mirrored bath with washer/dryer, all linens, robes & towels (even perfumes & lotions) All paper products. Kitchen is fully equipped (including microwave, blender, waffle iron, toaster, crock pot, coffee pot with coffee, tea and condiments). Living room
and dining areas are visible from the loft and has TV (no cable), VCR, DVD players & movie library. The cottage has central heat & air. The Tiara House: For One or Two People only: No children or pets. This is the crowning gem of Serenity's Edge! A cheerful home that emphasizes plush elegant furniture and oriental detailing. The Oriental bedroom features a KING bed with a sky-lit 2-person soaking tub and separate shower. The
sky-lit kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, coffeepot, blender, crock pot, crushed ice maker, toaster, dishwasher, an open breakfast counter top bar, and adjacent washer/dryer area. There is a cheerful sunroom with leather furniture. The living room includes a striking stone gas-log fireplace with a component stereo CD, radio, cassette, VCR, DVD player and color TV. You have a formal dining room. There is a second full bath off the dining/living room area. You have your own private deck with a beautiful view (partial view in summer), gas
grill, cushioned wrought iron furniture including an umbrella at the dining table and rocker loveseat., PLUS YOUR OWN HOT TUB! All linens, towels and comfy terry bathrobes are included. *IF your map program sends you from I 81 to the Buchanon exit, we suggest you NOT take this route because this is a very steep mountain drive. It is easier driving to take Exit 150 off I 81.
Please consider using these directions (below) to insure your arrival on the mountain.
From the Blue Ridge Parkway: At Mile Marker #106, take the Bedford/ 460 exit. Continue on 460 East. Pass the town of Montvale (lots of gas tanks). Continue on 460 East for about two miles. Turn left onto #689 (Irving Road). Take next left onto Murray Hollow Road.(#717) At the beginning of Murray Hollow Road, go 3 1/2 miles up the mountain - you will climb almost 1000 feet (The first mile is paved, then it changes to a state-maintained gravel road) until you see three white mailboxes & Serenity's Edge sign. Go through the blue gate. PLEASE check in at the house with the steps, marked "Sunshine".
From I-81: Take exit 150A and take 220 Alternate, go about 5 miles. When road ends, turn left onto 460 East heading towards Lynchburg (also called Route 22I). Go about 12 miles. Pass the town of Montvale (lots of gas tanks). Continue on 460 East for about two miles. Turn left on #689 (Irving Road). From Bedford: Take Route 460 West for about 8 miles. Roughly 1/2 mile before your turn-off you will see a long white fence and Spark's Mobile Home Moving. Take a right on Nester Road (#690). Immediately you will go over a railroad track. Turn left on Irving Road (#689) Go about 1/2 mile.
