Soliloquy's Way Cottage: With your own hot tub!  A very dramatic, elegant 2-story cottage that features a king bedroom loft with French cast iron electric fireplace, den with two-person lounging chair, ottoman, desk and library, mirrored bath with washer/dryer, all linens, robes & towels included. Kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, blender, toaster, waffle iron, crock pot, tea pot, coffee pot. Living room and dining areas are visible from the loft and has a flat screenTV, VCR and DVD player (no cable), CD & MP3 player. The cottage has central heat & air. A large deck overlooks Goosecreek valley (partial view in summer) and includes folding chaise lounge, chairs, table, umbrella, gas grill.  A simple breakfast including milk, cereal, juice, tea, coffee, condiments are provided.  $185+10% tax per night  for one or two people (a two night stay is required on weekends)However, if not rented by Friday afternoon, call 540-947-2468 to reserve for a one night stay for Friday or Saturday at a one night rate of $210.

 
The Tiara House:  This is the crowning gem of Serenity's Edge! Includes your own private hot tub. A cheerful home that emphasizes plush elegance and oriental detailing. The Oriental bedroom features a KING bed with a spacious bath that includes a sky-lit two-person soaking tub and separate shower--as well as a second full bath. The sky-lit kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, coffeepot, blender, crock pot, crushed ice maker, toaster, dishwasher, an open counter top bar, and adjacent washer/dryer area. The living room includes a stone electric-log fireplace with a stereo CD, MP3, radio, VCR, DVD and Flat screen TV. You have your own private deck with gas grill, cushioned wrought iron furniture including a chaise lounge and umbrella. All linens, towels and comfy terry bathrobes are included. The heat pump provides year-round climate control. This home is wheelchair accessible.  A simple breakfast including milk, cereal, juice, tea, coffee, condiments are provided.  $225. per night for one or two people plus 10% local & state taxes.  (a two night stay is required on Holidays)

A MARRIAGE LICENSE IN VIRGINIA REQUIRES NO WAITING PERIOD. Wedding celebrations in chapel-like natural surroundings take place year-round no matter the weather. Serenity’s Edge is ideal for your destination wedding: Elopements and Vow Renewals.  All-inclusive packages include the officiant fee.

Winter time: Marriages take place in the Solarium, warmed by the sun, full of tropical plants and in front of the massive stone fireplace with a roaring fire.

Warm weather: Marriages take place in the Gazebo or the round garden, with gentle breezes, a symphony of song birds, the scent of flowers, and the brilliant colors of nature amongst a background of mountains and trees.

Serenity's Edge offers a variety of wedding options from a very simple civil elopement ceremony to an elegant traditional all-inclusive package. All of these packages can also be used for vow renewals. If you decide to honeymoon here, you have your own private cottage--complete with a hot tub or soaking tub.

Your vows: Since it is important for us to provide you with a perfect day, your vows can be written especially for you--or, we have standard civil or religious ceremonies if you wish.

Why we only do elopements at Serenity's Edge: We specialize in the wedding market doing only elopements and therefore, we do what we do very well. Our time is concentrated on that couple and their wishes.

Timing: We will do marriage ceremonies spur the moment IF you call 540-947-2468 to make sure an appointment time is available. Most elopements are planned several weeks or months in advance,

Our goal is to offer those who wish to married here sacred natural spaces and quiet beauty. This cannot be achieved if children are running around, cars are parking everywhere or, perhaps your relatives are bickering.

While we have performed marriages with many guests, we have observed that when guests are present, the emphasis of the marriage is more of a "show". Often, the sacredness that is shared between the couple is lost. It is difficult to concentrate on each other since many other factors present. The couple is typically emotionally and physically exhausted on their wedding day.

With economics and time constraints being a major factors now, there is a growing tendency to elope and then have a celebration party at a later time so that no one gets hurt or feels left out.

We offer natural surroundings and quiet atmospheres for our overnight guests and weddings.
